For this assignment, students will interview a family member, neighbor, or other community member to find out their immigration story, and present that story to the class.
Students will not only learn about their own families, but they will learn from each other, and make connections to the wider world. This can be used to prepare students for a unit on immigration, or as a final assessment for a unit on journalism.
