This lesson will teach the students about the progression of immigration law from 1924-1990. (Specifically the National Origins Act of 1924, Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, and Immigration Act of 1990.) Students will then integrate their knowledge from the 4 laws in question to decide which laws were most beneficial to immigrants and which laws were most harmful to immigrants.
