Product Description
Immigration. Ellis Island. Angel Island. Project. Activities. Webquest.

This is a project that I use that I have adapted to be used along with Scholastic's online immigration resources and the Liberty Ellis Foundation databases. The project is made into an easy to use format for kids to navigate through the websites.

First: Students use graphs and charts to answer questions on immigration topics. The questions were chosen from the Scholastic site.

Second: Students use information from the Liberty Ellis Foundation databases to learn what types of people and family members came from Ellis Island, and then take a tour of Ellis Island using primary sources from Scholastic. There are questions that go with the tour that allow students to investigate the different parts.

Third: An immigrant that came through Angel Island and their story is chronicled here (from Scholastic). Questions are made for each part of Li Keng Wong's journey through Angel Island with her family.

I hope that you enjoy this project!
