PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Bored with the research project? Looking for a creative way for students to do research, include primary sources, and care about what they are researching? Look no further! This project does all of those things. Students are to either interview someone who is an immigrant (perhaps in their family or someone they know) and complete an oral history interview OR find an oral history primary source document with the help of the librarian at your school. Then the student will do research on that country and the push and pull factors that led them to leave and come to America. Students will then create a scrapbook (digital or on paper) telling the story of their journey. This has become a favorite project in my class and wonderful keepsake for some families.
