This activity asks students to rank immoral actions in Khaled Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns" from most offensive to least offensive. This can be used as a pre-reading activity or a post-reading discussion springboard. It can also be used by individuals or in groups. I've had a tremendous amount of success with asking students to complete it individually first and then as a group after reading the novel. They very naturally cite evidence from the text to defend their arguments.
