This mini unit was designed and simplified for alternative education students (I will be posting another one I used with my regular education biology students).
The unit begins with a reading with questions introducing students to the concepts of antibodies, white blood cells, antigens, and pathogens.
The lab activity involves students reading patient scenarios and testing them for the presence of antibodies (determining their immunity state). The lab reagents are cheap and easy to make. A list of reagents (including purchasing information) is included along with assembly directions and bottle labels.
Finally a short formative assessment is included.
All activities (reading, lab, and assessment) come with answer keys.
