This lesson requires students to read an overview of the immune system and to design questions (and to write answers) based on the reading. After students design questions and answers, I have them pair up and quiz each other, or, we do a popcorn-style share-out. I require students to fill the "box" on each page with notes and questions to receive full credit. This slows them down and increases their understanding. With a class wrap up at the end, this is easily a 50-minute period lesson. Likewise, it makes a great homework assignment so that your students come into class with background knowledge and basic understanding of the immune system.
