This folder contains a 3-page lesson on imparfait, along with 2 pages of examples with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd group verbs with different fonts and colors used to help student grasp the imparfait as well as other words used in examples. These 2 pages of examples come with 2 MP3 files: one in which sentences are pronounced slowly, and one in which they are pronounced the way a native speaker would in a conversation, with words blended together.
You will also find a PDF file containing 4 exercises. In the 1st exercise, students will have to turn 12 sentences from the present tense into the imparfait. In the 2nd exercise, students will find 12 sentences with the verbs in the infinitive that they will have to conjugate in the imparfait. I then included a short exercise in which students have to write down the "nous" form in the present tense of 7 irregular verbs, and then write each verb in the 1st person singular of the imparfait. Finally, in the last exercise, students will have 10 sentences in which they will have to choose between passe compose and imparfait.
