These differentiated task cards were designed to help your students gain an understanding of imperative and exclamatory sentences. They have been created with several purposes in mind.
1. Differentiated Literacy Groups –
*Above Level – Students will closely look at three choices and identify the correct imperative or exclamatory sentence.
*On level – Students will look at two sentences and identify the correct imperative or exclamatory sentence.
*Below level – Students will read an imperative or exclamatory sentence and select the correct punctuation mark.
2. Scoot Game – Scoot recording sheets provided in this download;
3. Kagan Structure of Teachers Choice – Mix, Pair, Share; Quiz Quiz Trade; Fan and Pick, etc. (You will probably want to write the correct answer on the back of the task card so the students will accurately report to their peers.) Showdown cards are also included in this download if you choose that Kagan Structure.
