This powerpoint introduces students to the imperfect tense (you may want to split it up into two days). The first half gives an explanation and explains conjugation. The second half illustrates specific moments when it is appropriate to use the imperfect tense and gives examples of the tense used in stories. Look at the story pages as a class and point out the verbs that are in the imperfect tense and have students explain WHY they are in the imperfect tense. Lastly, have your students choose a familiar story and describe the characters and the setting using the imperfect tense. This matches up with the Avancemos curriculum for Spanish 2, unit 4, lesson 1.
