This is short activity that serves a quick reference to important events in History. On the coin, students should include the name of the event, the year, and a picture or sketch. On the lines below, students will right the name of the event or the year and give a brief description. There is an example on the second page. Obviously, student creations will be hand drawn.
I use these for the important dates in US History outlined in the Texas TEKS; 1607, 1620, 1776, 1787, 1803, and 1861-1865. Students keep them in the notebook all year long.
I often copy two activities on one page to ave paper. These can be cut and separated for each event if needed.
