Product Description
This PowerPoint highlights 11 important people from the 13 colonies including John Winthrop, Anne Hutchinson, Metacomet, William Penn, Tamanend, James Oglethorpe, Benjamin Franklin, George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards, Eliza Lucas Pinckney, and Olaudah Equiano. Each slide is a basic outline of their importance.

A timeline is evident across the top of each slide.

BONUS: This presentation contains a creative writing assignment making this Social Studies lesson cross-curricular. Very Common Core! The students will be demonstrating their knowledge by composing a song to a popular (modern) tune; Taylor Swift or Taio Cruz. Therefore, this can be a Writing grade as well as a Social Studies grade. When the students present their creative writing assignment, you can also take a Speaking and Language grade!

The presentation contains the objective, examples, and task analysis steps for the assignment so that you do not even need to craft a model! It’s all done for you!

The presentation goes well with my PowerPoint on Life in the 13 Colonies here: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Life-in-the-Original-13-Colonies-PowerPoint
