Are you looking for new ways to practice improving and editing sentences with your students? Targeting these skills can be fun! Students will enjoy just that while playing with this game kit. They will relax and learn while working on improving and editing sentences: making good sentences better, and making better sentences best!
Students will answer game card questions and will be rewarded as they work on improving sentences. Areas of focus include eliminating fragments and run-on sentences, adding details, improving vocabulary, adding figurative language, and checking conventions. This activity works best with small groups or centers of 2-5 students. It can be used with individual students as well. It is a fun and engaging way to target these critical skills!
This activity was created for use with middle school students with mild-moderate Learning Language Disabilities (LLD). It can also be adapted for usage with typically developing students in grades 2-6.
