Finding it hard to come up with interesting scene prompts for improvisation? Not sure how to introduce the subject of reaction in acting? This activity can be used independently or as part of a larger unit on improvisation and reaction. The activity provides some basic information about the importance of reaction in a scene, introduces a scene prompt, and includes a rubric for scene evaluation. The scene prompt allows student groups to choose one of four different scenarios and encourages their own "twist" to the outcome. It is best used with small groups of 3-5 students. Students LOVE this prompt!
