I do this activity during my support groups and/or classroom guidance lessons when we are talking about control our impulses and resisting the urge to say or do something that we know is not ok after we read, "What Were You Thinking?" by Bryan Smith.
1.) I start off the activity by blowing bubbles at the students. They can choose to do what they want with them. The 2nd time around, I tell students to not pop them even if they land on their face or body.
2.) I read the story.
3. We complete the coloring worksheet.
4.) Students receive their certifcate (they can color and print their name).
5.) There are printable impulse control cards for students to tape on their desks.
