This slideshow guides students through an analysis of Ezra Pound's poem, "In a Station of the Metro" and William Carlos Williams' "This is Just to Say." It is designed to introduce advanced analysis by explaining Imagism and comparing these two poems against each other. This comes with a teacher's guide with additional supplementary information for each slide. It also comes with a student handout version of both poems. This lesson is designed to take 15-30 minutes but writing and creative project suggestions are included if you want to expand it. Each file is available in both PDF and Microsoft Office form and is fully editable.
