This is a PowerPoint that follows the rhythms of In the Hall of the Mountain King.
First, have the class practice saying "Ta" and "Ti-Ti" (or whichever system you use) for each line.
Transfer over to body percussion patting for the eighth notes, and snapping on the quarter notes. On the quarter rest, have the class "rest". In my class, we perform one page, rest one page, perform one page, rest one page, etc. For the coda, we make scary statues!
The mp3 is NOT included. I use the recording from Artie Almeida's, "Parachutes, Ribbons and Scarves." But of course, you can use whichever recording you like!
