Putting on an informal show with young children is not only a lot of fun, but provides opportunities for student involvement and creativity as children personalize the dialog. As they risk getting up in front of their peers, they build self-esteem and confidence that goes a long way towards developing a positive and interactive classroom culture. Academically it is an outstanding format to experience sequencing events along with character feeling and motive. Use these character masks to shine the spotlight on your spectacular students as they reenact the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Print the five character masks on heavy card stock ahead of time. Laminate, if desired, and attach to paint paddles or flat sticks. Have fun!
***This PDF file contains both black and white line, color, and culturally diverse versions of the masks. It may be printed, but not edited.
