"In the Time of the Butterflies" is the perfect film to teach about the Mirabal sisters (the butterflies) and their impact on the Trujillo Dictatorship. This film guide would also accompany the TPRS novel, "Felipe Alou" well.

*Note that this film is in English but we recommend that you show it with Spanish subtitles and ALL activities are in the target language except a few comprehension questions where you answer in English about a Spanish article.
