In this Inaugural Address Card Sort, students will sort quotes from four notable inaugural addresses by the president who uttered those words. Addresses include those by Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK, and Theodore Roosevelt.
First give students the quotes and have them see how much they know each of these four presidents and the time in which they spoke. Then have them read the abridged speeches and try the card sort again. Finally, give them the speeches and cards at the same time if a third try is required.
This works great for interactive notebooks and an answer key is included so that students can check their own work and review later for a test or quiz.
