I always dreaded introducing free-body diagrams on inclined planes…but not anymore! This activity takes the headache out of a very complicated subject. I always encourage students to look back at the prior cut-and-paste lab to help them when completing this one. It’s wonderful to hear their discussions as they apply what they know in horizontal/vertical directions to inclines! Again, I usually have students try this on their own (or in groups) for awhile and then we come together and discuss what we all found and arrive at the correct answers together. Works like a charm every time!
