This is a simple yet powerful tool to support independent reading during stations/centers/daily 5 or even at home during homework. You print, cut, and glue a fiction and nonfiction bookmark onto either side of construction paper. I also laminate them for durability after letting students write their name and personalize it.
It is sorted into fiction and nonfiction questions. Kids choose a question after reading a book or section, think about their answer, and write or speak their answer. It holds kids accountable and keeps them engaged.
These questions get progressively harder going up Bloom's Taxonomy. It suits a range of reading levels, but may be best suited for upwards of DRA 14. Please let me know if I can improve it!
