Included are three different forms that can be used for conferring with students about their reading. Two of the forms are more comprehensive for independent reading and one is more oriented to quicker check-ins when students are reading any text in class. Some of the aspects in these forms include accuracy, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and student goals. Some of the skills that are included are predicting, clarifying, questioning, summarizing and synthesizing. I have also included student reading logs, one for fiction and one for non-fiction. The fiction reading log has room for 10 entries and the non-fiction reading log has room for 5 entries. and each entry is focused on a different literary skill (author's purpose, compare and contrast, etc.).
