I have written 10 questions and answers for 55 4th grade chapter books. In 23 years of teaching, this is by far the best supplemental program I've added to my classroom curriculum. My parents love it, my students love it, and I love it because it's so easy to manage. My kids simply pick a book, read it and sign up for a "chat." During silent reading, I do these chats at around 2-5 minutes a piece. After successfully completing a chat, students get a classroom reward, and then pick their next book. I call this independent reading program Readables. Many schools in my district currently use Readables instead of computer programs, because it's just fun to talk about a book with a parent volunteer or your teacher! Readables is available in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade reading levels. Happy Reading!
