Independent Research Project - Sea Life
Product Description
In this two part independent project, students will investigate the adaptations made by animals of the ocean. Using their knowledge, they will create their own sea creature that can survive in the ocean.

Part One: Students research a sea creature of their choice to find out its physical traits, how it survives, and how it has adapted to its environment. Students will choose from three different ways to present their findings: Powerpoint slideshow, newspaper article, or informational mini-book. Rubrics and directions for each product are included.

Part Two: Students will create their own sea creature that can survive in the ocean. Students will draw and label the creature, design a model of the creature, and create a pamphlet informing others of physical characteristics of that creature and explaining how it survives in its environment.
