This student checklist allows students to keep track of work required weekly (can be altered as needed). It allows the teacher to conduct whole group lessons and then allows students to keep track of what needs to get done during independent working time, while teacher is involved in small groups and/or one-on-one instruction. It assists in differentiating the curriculum. There is a page 1, which involves whole group activities students can should complete for the required balanced literacy, reading, writing, and L.A. art activities each week. Classroom/student organization is the key to allow students to facilitate completion of their own work in their own time, in the order that works best for their learning style.
