This Independent and Dependent Clauses hands-on activity encourages students to identify independent and dependent clauses. Students will sift through 16 different clauses printed on cards and place the cards in the correct column (Independent or Dependent Clause). Finally, students will record their answers on the included recording sheet.
*A higher level extension activity (with a student cheat sheet) is also included in this resource. While students will still be identifying independent and dependent clauses, there is also a focus on various sentence patterns (simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex). Please note this extension activity is also a part of our Christmas/Winter Setting resource if you have already purchased it!
