Let's practice identifying the dependent and independent variable!
My middle school students grew tired of "Joey and Susie were planting tomato plants" type of examples for identifying the IV and DV.
In this assignment, students help Professor Neville Longbottom, Spider-Man, Bruno Mars, Nemo, and Dory identify the IV, DV, and constant variables of an experiment. Students will also be able to explain whether the data should be organized in a line graph or a bar graph.
Finally, students will be responsible for graphing the data on a separate piece of paper, making four graphs in all.
