PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I use this towards the end of talking about hypothesis', scientific method, experimental design, and variables. Make sure students have a good grasp of how to distinguish the different between independent and dependent variables before assigning them this or they can become very frustrated.

This assignment is fairly high rigor. It gives the students a small description of an experiment and requires them to pick out the independent and dependent variables. The bottom 2 questions give the students the variables and requires them to come up with the experiment.

I usually begin by having the students complete the definitions at the top in their own words, then we do one of the questions as an example.

Some classes (like inclusion) will need to work together in pairs, others can work silently by themselves. This could also be a good homework assignment.
