After seeing a post by http://tinkerlab.com/ of her hand drawn corn for her children to color, I had to come up with a similar coloring page for the children in my care to do. Since I don't have the time to hand draw mine, I had to come up with a more convenient page that could be used year after year. This could also be laminated for a free choice activity with dry erase markers. I tried to make the corn kernels as large as possible for younger children, since mine are pre-k. If you would like one with more dense kernels, just send me an email and I can whip one out. Tinklab placed a tray of Indian corn on the table for her children to use as inspiration in their coloring and provided a choice of coloring options. I think we will go with markers and crayons today.
