This packet of worksheets is based off of the 2014 Indiana Academic Math Standards for 3rd grade. Every math problem(s) on these worksheets are labeled with the standard they cover. Every aspect of the standard is covered, so there is usually more than one math problem per standard. Click my preview file to see what a typical worksheet looks like.
I also included my own design of math clip art© with funny sayings/hints to help make math more fun. I hope your kids get a good chuckle from some of them!
Uses: Give this to students before the ISTEP so they know what math concepts they may need to work on. You can also have students work on this packet at the beginning of the year so you can place them in similar math ability groups, or to help write your Student Learning Objective. One can also give this to 4th graders in August to serve as a review of what they learned last year. It can also be given to high level 2nd graders as a challenge, low ability 5th graders as remediation. I've also given this to high ability students who are worried about the math ISTEP for some reason, and it helps quell their nervousness. This can also be useful to give to parents who like to be "in the know" for 3rd grade math so they can help their children.
