Honor and learn about Indigenous Peoples, not just on Indigenous Peoples' Day, but any time of the year with this high-interest research project.

This Research Project is broken down step by step, to help your students write a research essay and complete a project independently.

This set includes BOTH a printable and digital version.

This writing pack will help your students complete a research project about the Indigenous People that once lived in the area you now live in. Link included with an interactive map to identify which Indigenous Peoples lived in your area. Directions included for this project and for option of researching any Indigenous Peoples Group.

Directions are clear and easy to understand and come in two layouts for students to either work at their own pace or work as a class step by step. Note-taking sheets and organizers help students to record information they learn from the sources they are using, as well as, gain a deeper understanding of the Group they researched and the contributions they made.

This pack can be easily infused into any writing program. See the preview for more specific details! This research project can be completed as a whole class, independently, student partners, or in small groups.
