This is an activity handout that your students can complete while they watch a clip that features the events of the Inuit Land Claims Project (the founding of a self-government in Nunavut) and highlights in particular the experiences of John Amagoalik and the fight to create the territory of Nunavut.
The link to the clip from the official YouTube channel is included on the worksheet. Students can watch independently and complete the worksheet or it can be used for whole class viewing.

This was created for a grade 10 Canadian History (CHC2D) using the Ontario Curriculum, but it is appropriate for any grades 7-10 class that is learning about the growth of Indigenous rights in Canada and self-government.
