I dont know about you, but i have tried several different behavior systems within my classroom over the years. What I have learned from all of them is that a simple and straight forward system is the best. So, in my classroom we have a color chart for our choices and they earn coupons for good behavior. However, I also think communication between home and school is extremely important. I created these individualized behavior booklets for students to keep all year round. These booklets are filled out at the end of each day and sent home. They come back every single day as well. When they go home, parents are to look at them, talk to their child about their color, sign the date and then send them back to school. This has worked wonders for myself and my parents and there isn't as many phone calls home or emails asking questions.II also include a parent communication section in this book that allows me to write any positive note (those are my favorite) or any issues I need to specify if they received a bad color. Parents can then write back with their communication and it is all documented! Below I will list the sections that are included in this booklet.
1. 13 different cover options
2. Weekly Behavior section divider & pages
3. Classroom behavior key/code divider and page (for parents understanding)
4. Parent Communication divider and pages
5. Student goal setting divider and pages
6. Section labels.
