These individualized token charts are made to be used by students with IEPs or special needs.
They fit onto a file folder, with the cover showing generic classroom rules (quiet mouth, eyes looking, hands/feet to self, listening ears, and raise hand) and the inside pages have reward choices, tokens to earn, and commonly used icons (bathroom, help, break).
My students each have their own folder with their preferred reward choices on the inside. They carry them from location to location throughout their day, and work to earn their stars for reward choices.
There are a few options for the star tokens depending on the needs of your students. There is a spot for 10 stars; you can have students work for all 10 before a reward. Alternatively, you can have them start with some already on their chart and then they earn the rest. Another option is to have 5 on top, and students move them down to the bottom row as they earn them.
This has been an easy way to make sure that tokens are given consistently among all staff members in my class. We use the back of the file folder to store extra icons or visuals depending on the needs of our students.
