Have you ever felt that your Revising and Editing Checklists you use with your whole class don’t address your students’ individual needs? Then this is the product for you!
I created these Writing Checklists to use with students during writing conferences with me, and also when they revise and edit (alone and with a partner). I have found that if I create a revising checklist and an editing checklist to be used by my whole class, I am “missing the boat” with at least half of the students. Some students are way above the skills I’m teaching to the whole class and they need to be pushed further to refine their above-grade-level writing. At the same time, others are still struggling with skills they should have mastered last year. These Writing Checklists finally allow me to address the needs of ALL my students!
I’m also including in this product a Skills Record for the Writing Checklists, so you can better keep up with what has been added to a checklist. It includes spaces to write when the skill was added to the list and when it was mastered and taken off the list.
