Need a fun way to get your Indonesian language students to practice writing? Here are 15 engaging picture prompts that can be used for writing exercises!

EACH PICTURE PROMPT HAS 5 INDONESIAN VOCABULARY WORDS LABELLED

Ideas & Recommendations: Students must write a story that includes all Indonesian vocabulary words labelled in the picture.

For Younger Audience:

Take advantage of the black and white pictures. Let your students to colour the pictures and identify the colour in Indonesian language in their writing.

Older Audience:

Time your students, for example: 15-30 minutes, to write as many sentences as they could. Make students to read their writing out loud to the class so they can also practice both their speaking (when they read out) and listening (when they listen) skills. Ask questions based on the text read to test students' listening comprehension skill.

Alternatively, have students to check each other's writing prompts on grammar and spelling.

More Uses:

• These pictures prompt can also be used in a number of other ways. Students can practice sequencing words, cause and effect, journal writing, generating questions and assessment of oral language as well as conversation practice. Topic can be about the scenarios portrayed in the pictures.
