It is vitally important to preserve the historic culture and monuments of Industrial American cities. City authorities must maintain important buildings, landscapes, keeping in mind, contemporary as well as historic culture in the context of ongoing economic and industrial development. Knowing this, the goal of this assignment is to provide each of you with some time to research, understand and share with your classmates your findings on the various industrial cities and how the implementation and growth of industry influenced their growth historically and explain the position that they are in today.
This Presentation Kit - includes questions that students must address, a list of cities that have been proven to work for this project (in sign-up sheet form) and a simple rubric for grading the student requirements.

What immigrant group that founded the city, why is this relevant?
How did the location of this city affect or influence its stance (and industries) during the industrial revolution?
What is the city’s current condition (wealthy/poor, up and coming/run down, strong industries/weak industries)?
