PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lesson on the Industrial Revolution may be adapted to your state standards. In Ohio, it fits the 5th grade Social Studies New Learning Standards. In California this lesson fits the 8th grade state standards. This lesson also meets two Common Core ELA anchor standards. They are addressed in the lesson as well as in the rubric.
Teachers may use their own text on Industrial Revolution to guide the class and then ask students to research the required components using class books or the internet. The final product is a Triorama for visual display as well as an oral presentation. Typical completion time is two 90 minute periods. Suggestions for diverse learners (modification and extension) are also included and allows for differentiation.
