To Do:
1) Go online and choose an invention NOT mentioned from 1880-1910 (in the US)
2) Find out who created this and information on this person, background, socio-economics, etc…) you are going to act as this person!!!
a. What natural resources do you need to create your product?
b. What is the purpose? (positives, why is this a revolutionary idea)
c. What is the Modern day version of this?
d. Which philanthropist(s) will you need to help you get your invention out to the public (think of who controls what, and what might you need) (be sure to list to these philanthropists why you need them). These are the people/person whom you are advertising and trying to sell your product idea to
e. Market the idea to that philanthropist(s)
i. Again tell about the product
ii. What resources you will need
iii. The cost of the product
iv. Who are you marketing it to? (children, women, rich poor, immigrants, etc…) tell why it is beneficial
v. Who will make this product? Why?
vi. Tell potential flaws of your product
vii. Vertical or horizontal integration? Explain
viii. Create some sort of commercial or advertisement for your product
f. Yes this is Innovative; but make sure you capture the main goals: Where/ why is it innovative? Where / why is there progress? Where or why could this be corrupt? And how/who might be greedy? (If any- must explain)
