Students will learn and teach simultaneously as they discover the Industrial Revolution. This is designed to be a jigsaw activity, where students will cooperatively learn about a specific topic. Then, they will be regrouped and will teach what they have learned to their new group. Topics focus on inventions that impacted transportation, communication, factories and farming during the Industrial Revolution around the turn of the century (1800's). Students will learn what these inventions are, who invented them, and how they impacted American society. This can be done either through reading printed text or by having students conduct research.
This resource includes questions that will guide your student's learning and provide a place for them to organize their knowledge. Packets can be printed and distributed to all students, who will eventually complete the entire packet.
