Product Description
Introduce students to the social changes that occurred as the US industrialized during the Gilded Age (the rise of the middle class, the concentration of wealth, and the impact on factory workers' lives). Students examine pictures by Jacob Riis, charts/graphs, and a report from an economist to learn about how industrialization effected workers' lives. Students use these documents to determine if the changes during industrialization had a positive or negative impact on the US. For advanced students that finish early this lesson includes 2 primary source extension documents.
