Collaborative PowerPoint review for solving and graphing inequalities and for solving absolute value problems.
I have used this type of math review with my students from 6th grade to high school. I found that it creates a collaborative atmosphere with all students engaged in the learning process. The students can eventually run the entire review allowing the teacher to walk around to perform a quick formative assessment of student learning.
How to play:
Students form groups of three to four students each. Each group is given a small white board or other tool to record their answers.
The groups are instructed to keep their answers hidden from the other groups until it is time to show the answers.
The teacher shouts show the answers. The students show the answers at the same time and each group is given points for a correct answer. This keeps everyone involved with the activity.
