### Description

Inequality task cards that are differentiated for students to practice solving one-step, two-step, and multi-step equations with a variety of depth of knowledge questions. Students will graph on a number line, solve applied problems, and use critical thinking skills to complete their group of cards. Also included are student recording sheets that match with the question types and a teacher answer key!

Check out the preview for a closer look at randomly selected cards and notes for suggestions of how to use in your classroom!

These task cards are part of a money-saving differentiated math task card growing bundle you can find here: Growing Bundle Differentiated Math Task Cards

### Standards

Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable, including equations with coefficients represented by letters.
Solve word problems leading to inequalities of the form 𝘱𝘹 + 𝘲 > 𝘳 or 𝘱𝘹 + 𝘲 < 𝘳, where 𝘱, 𝘲, and 𝘳 are specific rational numbers. Graph the solution set of the inequality and interpret it in the context of the problem. For example: As a salesperson, you are paid \$50 per week plus \$3 per sale. This week you want your pay to be at least \$100. Write an inequality for the number of sales you need to make, and describe the solutions.
Use variables to represent quantities in a real-world or mathematical problem, and construct simple equations and inequalities to solve problems by reasoning about the quantities.
