This activity was intended as a fun introduction (or review) to character inference. It was used to introduce the most basic concepts of inference to fourth-graders. It contains 8 half-page cards, each with a name and a group of pictures. Students must make inferences about the person (character) based on the clues in the pictures. It worked well with struggling students, and seemed fun for all students in the classes.
This was one of four inference activities used in an introductory "Inference Week" station rotation. The other three activities progress in the amount and complexity of text.
