Last year I did an activity with my math class focused on making inferences. This was an introduction lesson within the larger unit of Inferences and Data. I brought a few items from my purse into class and set up stations. At each station the students were given one item from my purse and were to record the item and make an inference about what that meant about my life. For example, one of the items was a clean pair of socks. We discussed as a class that this could mean that I excercise after school. The kids had a lot of fun with it!
