PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

I cut out the clues and suspect information and placed them around the classroom. I told the students they were detectives and needed to solve the case by inferring what happened, where, and when.

Solution: Dentist was the criminal, because floss was used to tie the bag and the fluorite mineral is the same as what is in toothpaste. The dentist had dark hair and worked with dogs at an animal shelter. The crime happened at a bank because there was money stolen and a bank has security cameras and a vault. The time was noon or mid-morning because the suspect was on their lunch break. It would probably be spring to summer because it would be baseball season if Grant Slam is signing baseball cards.
These are just a few of the inferences students can get from this activity.
