This lesson was created to work on inferencing as well as problem solving skills, which many children have difficulty with. 20 real pictures I took are used to have students infer what happened before and after the picture was taken. For some pictures a little description is included to provide background information. For all pictures there are two to three questions the students need to answer. Some questions have students problem solve how the situation could have been prevented. There is also a page with a sample on how to make an inference including realistic pictures.
This lesson can be printed for each student or used on a SmartBoard. If you want to print and save paper, just print one copy and have the students write their responses on a separate sheet of paper.
