As we all know, students--young and old--struggle with making inferences. This leaves us floundering for ways to teach them the basic steps toward reaching that all-important conclusion.
Here at Nolan's kNick-kNacks, I have provided you with the first of several packets that will guide the students from making inferences with pictures to making inferences with short stories. You can use this is a daily bell-ringer, a mini-lesson, or a set of guided practice and independent practice questions at the end of a full lesson.
Don't let teaching inferences scare you--we'll help you out. :)
