I love stations! I HATE having to spend a lot of time preparing for them. These stations are minimal prep work for a great reward. Each station requires the students to make inferences using different types of texts. The stations use art, a "lost" bag, receipts, literature, and political cartoons to get the students inferring and supporting those inferences with text evidence (a battle I fight every day!). I usually put the students in groups of 3 or 4 and give them five minutes per station with one minute to rotate. You can speed it up or slow it down depending on your students' needs.
